My boyfriend is coming in from Germany to visit me in Minnesota. I met him through a foriegn exchange program, and I havent seen him for the last nine months. I just want to take him to a cute little getaway somewhere in nothern minnesota, maybe off a lake, Im open to any suggestions. Anyone know of any cute little resorts, hotels, or pretty cities in minnesota anywhere?

    Why not go to Stillwater? They have super cute stores with a B&B in and out of town and is still close enough to the twin cities that if you want to go there you can. Catch a show, go to the museum, or just go to the mega mall. Or else I know up around Duluth is a great place to go.

    Cass Lake is located in northern Minnesota, about 200 miles north of St. Paul. The resort is situated a mile north of the town of Cass Lake on Scenic Resort Drive. Just watch for our signs. There are paved roads all the way to the resort driveway. For a more detailed map and driving directions, click HERE.

    Traveling west on US highway 2 to town of Cass Lake. Turn right at County Rd. 60 (Grant Utley Ave NW). Travel north approximately 3/4 mile and turn right on 163rd St. NW. Travel east approximately 1/4 mile and turn right just past our sign.

    Definately anywhere along the North Shore! There is a cabin, resort and state park every few miles. Lots to do and lots to see.

    Some examples of nice scenic cities along the North Shore are; Two Harbors, Duluth, and Grand Marais. Search the North Shore on the internet and it will lead you to all sorts of possibilities. Grand Superior Lodge just north of Duluth is beautiful.

    Waterfalls, wildlife, and intimate getaways are always possible along the North Shore.
