Sorry, no one is going to be able to answer this question accurately because we don’t know enough about your details. For instance: when do you want to go, for how long, how many people, your budget restraints, what airport will you be departing (Minneapolis/St. Paul?)? Every choice affects the ultimate price.
With this information I can and will help you to zero in a price you could book today if you so chose. But, first, check out this website for getting an idea of what you want:
While you are there check out two possibilitiess that might work very well for you: a Cruise (yes, Italy is a popular destination for cruise ships and they can often offer a better package deal that might cost you a small fortune if doing the same package by land)–and a Vacation Travel Company such as Apple Vacations.
At, first click on the CRUISES tab and check out packaged deals using Rome or Tuscany as your destination cities.
Then click on the VACATIONS tab and click on the passport-like stamp titled: APPLE VACATIONS.
not sure about your flight costs, there’s too many details that need to be addressed if you want a ballpark figure. As for staying in the Tuscany region, that really depends on where you are wanting to stay. Florence is one of the more expensive cities in Tuscany. Pisa is quite nice and quite affordable for the budget traveler. There is a nice hotel just 50 meters from the central train station in Pisa. Name is Hotel Touring. It’s about 50 euros a night and a nice 20 minute stroll from the leaning tower and basillica. Try taking the train from city to city in Tuscany. It’s absolutely amazing and the train is 2-45 euros for a ticket, dependent on how far you are going.
