I love Minnesota. Particularly Northern Minnesota in the summer. It’s pretty darn cold in the winter. The Mall of America in Minneapolis is particularly fun for tourists, but kinda boring after so many trips through. My great-great grandfather built a cabin on Lake Vermilion over 30 years ago. My family has gone there for summer vacations ever since I can remember. It’s in the middle of nowhere with no roads, no running water and no electricity. Not for everyone, but I really do enjoy it. The scenery is beautiful. It’s between Tower and Ely Minnesota which are both touristy little towns. Closest resort/lodge to it is called Glenwood Lodge. It’s on the very edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe area. If you get to Minnesota I highly recommend checking out this untarnished wilderness. It’s highly worth it. There are hundreds of lakes in Minnesota and all of them have their own share of lodges and resorts including casino’s.
